Introduction

I have been purchasing various products from China for several years now, and its timely to share my experiences with you.
Its also an opportunity for you to share your experience about good and bad sellers within this blog too, and I will update GOOD and BAD/SCAMMERS accordingly.

Over several years, some companies I dealt with have been bad, but they have disappeared, so I guess they are consistently bad until they are caught out. The worry is that they probably change their company name as often as a change of clothes.

Note, if you have warranty issues my experience with most Chinese companies is they duck for cover or invent the most ridiculous excuses. Their margins are low, hence unless you are a regular customer, they sometimes wont honor their warranty, or charge you to get it fixed even though they might have sent a broken unit to you!.

Thank you.

BAD Asia Wholesale Center

Recently I purchased a Chinese Android phone similar to Samsung Galaxy. This one had many QC issues and I am currently awaiting a refund from Aliexpress. The Aliexpress Supplier "Asia Wholesale Center" Store No.505188 has been completely dishonest in their dealings with me. Despite the badly broken phone Youtube they wanted feedback on Aliexpress - using promises of benefits to me if I gave positive feedback.

Instead I raised a dispute with them on Aliexpress. Note that when you raise the dispute, your ability to place feedback is removed until the dispute is over, then feedback is enabled once again.

As soon as I raised the dispute the offer of a replacement new phone was withdrawn, but "Asia Wholesale Center" promised to provide payment for return freight as long as it was sent without registration which saves money. Another ploy they claim they never got the item returned. What I had done though was take a receipt of postage and a photo of the ticketed item in the Post Office prior to it being sent.
They still claim non-receipt in order to avoid paying for return freight which was broken promise # 6.

It took some weeks but in the end the dispute timed out and Aliexpress awarded me the purchase price refund - full marks to Aliexpress.
I advised the seller several times about the required freight refund but they have not been honourable.

My feedback on Aliexpress for them goes thusly:
Not an honorable seller. Made promises and broke them all. I am phone importer and this phone received with broken camera, broken GPS, minor case damage, weak wifi and GSM. It was bad quality control. They promised to pay return freight, and denied phone arriving until the last minute when Aliexpress awarded purchase price refund. Many thanks and 5 stars to Aliexpress - I support Aliexpress and have never had any problem dealing with them. As for this seller, they are polite, their prices are OK, but I think they are selling some seconds goods from my experience, and they should honor their commitments to their customers.

GOOD GuangZhou YiHua Electronic Equipments Co.,Ltd.

Tina is their sales lady I dealt with.
Their company deals in soldering stations and other soldering equipment and I found them to be very reliable and with a modicum of honor when there were any problems with product.
Out of a score of 10 I'd give them a 7 for being a good supplier.

BAD Shenzhen Eriwin Technology Ltd.

Eriwin is a company that started an odd precident. First time in years dealing with Chinese companies that they did not want to actually do business.
They are a non-Aliexpress,
Alibaba
http://eriwin.en.alibaba.com
and have their own web page:
http://www.eriwin.com
I ordered several sample phones, paid Paypal, and received an EMS tracking number. After several days the tracking was not working, so they explained that the EMS depot had moved! They then issued a new tracking by UPS which did not work either. At that stage I raised a dispute with Paypal. Eriwin then advised they would send it by DHL and also would provide free freight on next order which seemed honourable. The gave me a new tracking number for DHL which showed the goods to be in Hong Kong on Friday. On Monday Eriwin said my payment was locked and would I close the Paypal dispute. I said no problem, when the goods were received here I would do that. They said they did not trust me and needed the dispute closed now. On investigating with Paypal, once a dispute is closed you cant reopen it! Eriwin knew if I closed the dispute they would not have to send anything. When I didnt close it they said they recalled the DHL freight - 4 days after it was sent and sitting in HK! It was a pack of lies all the way through.
Moral of the story I recommend give your sender ample opportunity to explain and correct a situation, but dont ever let them talk you into closing a dispute unless it has been resolved.
Eriwin scam seems to be a new method of gaining access to our Paypal funds.
